2. Recruit campers and raise funds
Recruit campers and raise funds
Gather a group of friends or recruit from the public to run your very own camp! The minimum number of campers required is 10.
After the workshop, you will be given a complete tool kit and materials to help you with the recruitment of campers. You may give out Camper Registration Forms to your campers to sign-up. Campers will pay RM20 as registration fees. This will help you to cover part of your camp running expenses. Please note that transfers of campers to another DIY camp are strictly prohibited.
You will then issue coupon booklets to your campers, inspiring them to raise funds for the poor. We’ve set a goal for you so that they have something to work towards:
• RM80 for students/non-working adults
• RM120 for working adults
Deadline for campers to return funds and coupon booklets to you: 25 Jul 2009
Deadline for you to return everything to World Vision Malaysia: 31 Jul 2009
2 outstanding camp leaders will receive awards during the Famine Countdown:
• The Largest Camp Award
• The Highest Fund Raising Camp Award
Share this memorable moment with your campers and your family! We will notify you if you are the winner before the Famine Countdown.
